This is pose 03 of our Mummy range from Yasashii Kyojin Studio, and it is a genuinely distinctive sculpt. The figure is shown mid-advance, mouth wrenched open in a silent shriek, both arms outstretched with fingers splayed and grasping. Strips of ancient linen unravel from every limb, trailing behind the figure as it lurches forward — the detail across the layered bandaging is exceptional, from the tight wrapping at the shins to the loosening strips around the torso and forearms. A broad amulet collar sits across the chest, hinting at the royalty or high priesthood this creature once held. This is a mummy that looks as though it has purpose — and that purpose is deeply unpleasant for anyone in its path.

In D&D 5e terms, mummies are formidable undead: immune to a clutch of damage types, carriers of the dreaded Mummy Rot curse, and capable of inspiring the Dreadful Glare that can paralyse a player character with fright. This sculpt captures all of that menace — it works equally well as a standard mummy encounter or as the visual anchor for a Mummy Lord's tomb guardian. Equally at home on a gaming table as it is on a display shelf, this miniature rewards both a quick basecoat-and-wash and a fully committed painting project.

Well-suited for adventurers who:

  • Are running desert tomb, ancient ruin, or cursed pharaoh campaigns
  • Need a physically imposing undead guardian with clear visual menace
  • Want a centrepiece for a Mummy Lord encounter or a repeating minion threat
  • Are looking for a character-rich piece to paint and display

Encounter Hook:
The party has spent two sessions breaking the seven seals on the inner sanctum door. As the last seal cracks and the door grinds open, the torchlight catches a figure at the far end of the chamber — swaying, arms already raised, jaw stretched wide in a soundless scream. It has been waiting. It is no longer waiting.

Details

Supplied at 32mm scale. Available with or without a plain black base — the base ships unattached and can be fixed with a small amount of glue. The miniature arrives ready to prime and paint, or to use straight from the box in its grey state. Each piece is quality checked before dispatch; as with any hand-finished item, minor marks from support removal may occasionally be present and are easily tidied up.
