Description
It does not shamble like the lesser undead — it surges forward on chitinous legs, barbed tail arcing overhead, jaws stretched wide in a scream that echoes from a civilisation long since swallowed by sand.

This is pose 02 of the Mummified Mutant range from Great Grimoire, and it is one of the more unsettling things you can place on a tabletop. The upper body is distinctly humanoid — gaunt, desiccated, hollow-eyed, mouth torn open mid-wail — fused seamlessly into the armoured thorax of a massive scorpion. The segmented tail curves high overhead, ending in a barbed stinger dripping with implied menace, while one clawed arm extends forward in a strike pose that demands a reaction roll just to look at. Every chitin plate, every sunken rib, every crack in the mummified flesh has been sculpted with extraordinary care.
This creature sits beautifully in any desert ruin, ancient Egyptian-inspired tomb, or cursed necromantic setting. Run it as a Scorpionfolk guardian, a failed experiment of a lich-pharaoh, or a horror conjured by the party's own meddling with a sealed sarcophagus. It also makes a gripping display piece — the dynamic pose means it earns its space on any shelf.

Encounter Hook:
The hieroglyphs on the tomb wall shift — the party's cleric realises too late that they have been reading a binding ritual aloud, one sentence at a time, for the past ten minutes. The sarcophagus in the centre of the chamber ruptures from within, and something that is neither mummy nor scorpion rises from the shards, screaming in a dead language, its stinger already swinging toward the nearest torch-bearer.
Details
Supplied at 32mm scale. The base (plain or decorative) is included separately and can be attached with any standard modelling adhesive. The miniature arrives cleaned of supports and fully cured, ready to prime and paint or use as-is straight from the box — though we strongly recommend painting this one, because it deserves the attention.
