Description
Half-man, half-scorpion, and wholly without mercy — Muiral was once an elf, twisted beyond recognition by centuries of arcane obsession deep beneath Undermountain's forgotten halls.
- ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
- ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
- ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
- ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf
Muiral is one of the most distinctive threats in all of D&D lore — a former student of Halaster Blackcloak who subjected himself to grotesque magical experiments until his lower body fused with that of a monstrous scorpion. The result is a creature of terrible cunning and physical power, his muscular humanoid torso rising from a chitinous arachnid body, barbed tail arched high overhead and a blade gripped in both hands with unsettling confidence. He is no mindless beast — that sardonic grin makes it perfectly clear he knows exactly how much danger you're in.
This sculpt from Monster Atlas captures Muiral at his most menacing. The detail across the segmented tail, the articulated scorpion legs with their hooked claws, and the textured chitin of his lower body contrast sharply with the almost regal bearing of his humanoid form. He is a boss encounter made manifest — equally at home commanding a dungeon chamber centrepiece or anchoring a display shelf.
Suited to adventurers who:
- Are running Dungeon of the Mad Mage or any deep dungeon campaign
- Need a memorable boss monster with genuine lore weight behind it
- Want a large, characterful sculpt that rewards careful painting
- Collect display miniatures from iconic D&D monster rosters
Encounter Hook:
The party has been tracking rumours of something intelligent stalking the lower vaults — something that leaves no survivors, only rearranged remains and arcane sigils etched into the walls. When they finally find the chamber, Muiral is already seated at the far end, sword resting across his knees, tail swaying slowly overhead. He looks like he has been waiting. He has been waiting.
Details
Supplied at 32mm scale. The model and base are separate pieces — a small amount of superglue will bring them together cleanly. Please note that some models interact with their base in deliberate ways, so we recommend attaching both for the best display result. Miniatures arrive ready for priming and painting, or can go straight to the table as-is. Minor marks from the printing process may occasionally occur; these are easily tidied up before painting.

Mitz & Simz — the cats failed Dexterity but maxed Charisma and honestly it shows.
Works beautifully alongside monster encounters for complete Underdark delves — or explore more from Monster Atlas.
