Mr. Cat Bust by Great Grimoire
Description
He's already made three deals today, and that grin tells you he came out ahead on every single one.
- ✔ Large-scale display bust — significantly bigger than standard 32mm
- ✔ Resin printed fresh to order in the UK
- ✔ Supplied unpainted — ideal as a centrepiece painting project
- ✔ Designed for display shelves and painting competitions
Mr. Cat is a tiefling of considerable charm and questionable scruples — small horns swept back through wind-tousled hair, pointed ears, and a smile that says he knows something you don't and intends to keep it that way. The sculpt captures him mid-smirk, a stub of something held between his teeth, layered travelling robes gathered at the collar and cinched with a thick rope belt. His pauldrons carry a worn, almost sculptural quality — one bears what appears to be a carved face, adding a touch of the sinister beneath all that roguish charisma.
As a display bust, Mr. Cat is a painter's delight. The face alone — with its expressive crow's-feet, raised brow, and that knowing grin — offers extraordinary depth for blending and shading. The textile layers of his robes and the rope detail at his waist give painters a range of contrasting textures to work with, from weathered cloth to knotted fibre to worn armour plate. He comes mounted on a stepped plinth base, ready to take pride of place on a shelf or painting board.
Well suited to adventurers who:
- Want a characterful display bust with rich facial expression and layered detail
- Are building a painted miniature showcase or fantasy bust collection
- Need a face for an NPC — a tiefling merchant, informant, crime lord, or devil-touched patron
- Are looking for a narrative centrepiece to inspire a D&D or TTRPG campaign
Encounter Hook:
The party arrives at the Gilded Coin tavern to meet their contact — a tiefling fixer known only as Mr. Cat. He's already seated when they arrive, nursing something amber, that infuriating grin already in place. He has information they need. He also has a counter-offer that wasn't part of the arrangement. And he's not leaving until they hear it.
Details
This is a display bust, scaled for a standard bust plinth rather than a 32mm tabletop base. It arrives unpainted in grey resin, cleaned and ready for your brush. Fine detail may require some light cleanup before painting begins.
