Nosmarka is no mere demon. She is the Mother of the Abyss — an ancient, terrifying fiend whose form speaks to aeons of corruption given flesh and will. Her vast, membrane wings are edged with jagged bone-like spurs and torn between elegance and savagery, spanning wide as though she is moments from taking flight. Heavy chains coil around her torso and arms, not as restraints but as trophies — relics of a captivity long broken and a power long since unbound. Twin horns crown her head amidst a halo of flickering flame-like protrusions, and her serpentine tail curls behind her with predatory patience. She stands atop a base of abyssal rock and infernal flame, one clawed hand reaching forward as if beckoning her next victim.
For Dungeon Masters running campaigns that touch on the Blood War, demonic cults, planar incursions, or the politics of the lower planes, Nosmarka works equally well as a named villain, a demon lord's lieutenant, or the final encounter of a fiend-focused arc. Her sculpt carries the kind of presence that makes players go quiet the moment she hits the table — and she's just as formidable on a display shelf.
Well suited to adventurers who:
- Run fiend-heavy campaigns set in or near the Abyss or Nine Hells
- Need a commanding boss monster with genuine visual authority
- Want a centrepiece miniature for a demonic cult or planar summoning arc
- Collect large-scale fantasy fiend miniatures for display
- Are building a Baldur's Gate, Descent into Avernus, or homebrew infernal campaign
Encounter Hook:
The party thought they were breaking a binding ritual — but the chains on the altar weren't restraining Nosmarka. They were the last thing keeping her tethered to this plane. She smiles as the final link shatters, and the room fills with the echo of wings unfolding in the dark.
Details
Nosmarka is supplied at 32mm scale. The model and decorative base are separate pieces — the sculpt is designed to interact with the base, so we recommend attaching them with superglue for display. The miniature arrives ready for priming and painting, though it looks striking straight out of the box.
