Description

She does not rule a court — she is the court, ancient and still, her antlered helm wreathed in the silence of a thousand folded wings.

  • ✔ Large-scale display bust — significantly bigger than standard 32mm
  • ✔ Resin printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted — ideal as a centrepiece painting project
  • ✔ Designed for display shelves and painting competitions

The Moth Queen Bust is a collector-grade display piece that captures something genuinely rare in fantasy miniature sculpting: the sense that a character exists beyond the base. Her helm rises into broad, feather-fringed antlers — part insect, part divine — and her armour is worked with flowing organic engravings that evoke the scales and wing-veins of her moth kindred. A thick mane of layered feathers frames her face, and the chest plate bears a circular medallion of quiet authority. She sits on a raw stone plinth, composed and unhurried, as if she has been waiting for exactly this moment.

As a bust rather than a full miniature, this piece is sculpted specifically for painters, collectors, and those who want a display centrepiece rather than a tabletop combatant. The layered surface detail — from the engraved pauldrons to the finely textured featherwork — rewards ambitious painting techniques: NMM on the armour, wet blending on the antlers, object source lighting from below. She also makes extraordinary narrative inspiration for a Feywild patron, an archfey villain, or the face that haunts the party's dreams.

Perfect for adventurers who:

  • Want a high-detail display bust as a serious painting project
  • Are building a fantasy collector's shelf with genuine character
  • Need visual inspiration for an archfey patron, fey noble, or otherworldly NPC
  • Appreciate organic armour design and intricate surface texture

Encounter Hook:
The party has followed the trail of missing travellers deep into the Feywild, where the forest has grown too quiet and the moths fly in patterns no natural creature would choose. At the heart of a clearing ringed with pale fungi, a figure sits motionless on a throne of stone — antlered, armoured, eyes closed. She has not moved in three centuries. She opens one eye when the rogue steps on a twig, and says, without turning: "You are late."
