This Mossy Cage terrain piece is exactly the kind of detail that transforms a generic encounter into a scene your players will sketch in their notes. Thick bars of rough-hewn wood are lashed and bolted together in a crude lattice, draped in creeping moss and tangled undergrowth that suggests years of neglect — or deliberate concealment. A heavy padlock still hangs from the door. A small creature lurks near the top. Whatever was kept in here, something wanted it to stay.

Encounter Hook:
The party has been tracking a missing villager for two days. Following a trail of strange tracks into the treeline, they find a clearing — and in the centre, this cage. The lock is fastened. Inside, a small creature presses itself against the bars, wide-eyed and silent. Hanging from the top bar is a symbol the party's cleric recognises with a cold certainty: whoever built this cage is still close by, and they are expecting someone to come looking.
Scaled to 32mm and supplied with the base attached as sculpted. This piece is supplied unpainted and ready for priming — the fine surface detail takes washes and drybrushing particularly well. We quality-check each piece before it leaves the studio.
