Morgause Lovefeaster is no common villain. She is the sort of creature that operates in the spaces between power — courted by nobles, feared by servants, and never once suspected by those who should know better. Sculpted with extraordinary poise, this miniature captures her mid-gesture: one hand resting at her waist, the other raised with fingers curled — not in threat, but in the particular way of someone accustomed to getting exactly what they ask for. Her elaborate braided coiffure, layered jewellery, ornate bodice, and billowing cape with ruffled collar all speak to a figure of considerable wealth and considerable danger.

It is only when the rogue notices that the oil portraits lining the hall all share the same hollow expression as the woman standing before them that the true horror begins to take shape.
