Mia Kay M3DM's Moon Dragon is a serpentine Eastern-style dragon sculpted with extraordinary attention to scale texture, flowing whiskers, and sweeping recurved horns. Rather than the broad-winged silhouette of a Western dragon, this creature moves like water — sinuous, graceful, and quietly terrifying. This wingless variant leans fully into that character: no spread of leathery membrane to distract from the elegant coil of the body around its ancient, weathered base.
The scenic base is a highlight in its own right. Miniature torii gate pillars rise from rocky ground scattered with crystalline shards and tufts of stylised foliage, giving the whole piece a distinctly East Asian mythological character. The dragon's long tail wraps through and around the structure, integrating the miniature and the base into a single flowing composition. On a gaming table it commands presence. On a display shelf it earns a second look from everyone who passes.
This is a multipart sculpt, and both supported and unsupported versions are available — giving painters the flexibility they need to approach the build however suits their workflow. Encounter Hook
The party arrives at the ruins of a mountain shrine to find the ambassador they were sent to escort — already seated, perfectly still, across from a silver-scaled dragon coiled through the shattered torii. The dragon speaks first: it has held this pass for four centuries, and the ambassador owes it a debt from a previous life. The players must negotiate a passage through the dragon's territory before dawn, or the deal the ambassador made on their behalf becomes binding on them instead.
