This is pose 2 of our Modron Monodrone range, sculpted by Novaminis. The Monodrone is the lowest rung of the modron hierarchy — a perfectly obedient, lawful construct that exists solely to carry out the will of Primus. This sculpt captures that eerie mechanical nature beautifully: a riveted spherical body, a single oversized eye, a grimacing face-plate, two pairs of spoked radial wings extending from articulated arms, and jointed legs ending in blocky square feet. There is something deeply unsettling about how expressive it is for something with no independent thought whatsoever.
As a miniature, it rewards a metallic paint scheme — brass, bronze, or iron tones with spot colour on the eye — but it reads just as well straight off the print. Whether you are running a Planescape-adjacent campaign, populating a lawful evil dungeon with mechanical guardians, or simply collecting creatures from the outer planes, this Monodrone earns its place on the table or the shelf.
Perfect for adventurers who:
- Are running planar adventures through Mechanus or the outer planes
- Need construct encounters that feel genuinely alien and unsettling
- Want to populate an artificer's workshop with clockwork servants
- Collect modrons and want multiple poses for a full hierarchy display
- Enjoy painting mechanical creatures with metallic and OSL techniques
Encounter Hook:
The party finds a sealed antechamber deep within a collapsed githzerai fortress. Inside, seven Monodrones stand motionless in a perfect circle, facing inward — unresponsive to speech, unresponsive to light. When the central object they surround is disturbed, all seven heads turn in unison.
Details
Printed at 32mm scale. Available with or without a plain black base — the base ships unattached and can be fixed with a small amount of glue. Each piece is checked before dispatch; as with all high-detail resin printing, minor support marks may occasionally be present and are easily tidied up before priming.
