Description
Dispatched from the clockwork perfection of Mechanus, the Monodrone carries out its singular directive without question — because it has never once considered there could be another.
- ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
- ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
- ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
- ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf
Monodrones are the simplest rung of the Modron hierarchy: single-purpose constructs built from pure law, each one incapable of understanding anything beyond its one assigned task. This sculpt from Novaminis captures that alien, mechanical quality brilliantly — a riveted spherical body mounted on spindly jointed limbs, a single enormous eye dominating its face, and two fans of spined wings sprouting from its back. The pose is mid-stride and slightly frantic, arms splayed as though patrolling with great urgency and zero self-awareness. It is, in the best possible way, deeply strange.
Whether you're running a Planescape-adjacent campaign, sending your players through the gears of Mechanus, or simply want one of D&D's most lovably bizarre constructs on your shelf, this is pose 01 of our Modron Monodrone range — and it brings real character to a creature that technically shouldn't have any.
Perfect for adventurers who:
- Are running Planescape, Spelljammer, or planar-themed D&D 5e campaigns
- Need a lawful construct encounter that's genuinely memorable at the table
- Collect display miniatures that sit at the weird, wonderful end of D&D lore
- Are building a full Modron hierarchy for a set-piece encounter or diorama
Encounter Hook:
The party discovers a lone Monodrone marching in an endless circle around a crumbling waystation on the Outlands — its original directive long since rendered meaningless, but its tiny mechanical mind utterly incapable of stopping. When they interrupt its circuit, it freezes, emits a low grinding sound, and turns its single eye towards them with an expression of profound, mechanical distress.
Details
Printed at 32mm scale. Available with or without a plain black base — the base ships unattached and can be fixed with a drop of glue. Each piece is checked before dispatch, though minor marks from support removal may occasionally be present; these are easily tidied up before priming. Ready to prime and paint straight out of the box, or display as-is.
