Description
Half-starved, half-feral, and wholly misunderstood — the mongrelfolk of Castle Ravenloft have clawed their survival from the dungeon floors, and they will not give it up easily.

- ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
- ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
- ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf
This set presents two mongrelfolk sculpts from Yasashii Kyojin Studio's Belviews range — number 05 in the series. The taller figure stands upright with a long-handled shovel resting across one shoulder and a bulging sack dragged along at their side, cape flowing behind them with grim determination. The shorter companion crouches low, shovel gripped in hand, body tensed as if ready to spring or flee. Both bear the distinctive rat-like features of their kind — large ears, muzzled snouts, coarse-haired bodies — rendered with the expressiveness and musculature that makes Yasashii Kyojin's sculpts so immediately recognisable on the tabletop.
In D&D 5e, mongrelfolk are the tragic creations of the darklord Strahd's mad alchemist, flesh-warped servants found lurking in the crypts of Barovia. But they work equally well as downtrodden beastfolk labourers, urchins of the Underdark, or desperate survivors in any dark fantasy setting where the weak are made to serve the powerful.
Brilliant for adventurers who:
- Are running Curse of Strahd or any Ravenloft-adjacent campaign
- Need Underdark or dungeon-dwelling humanoid NPCs with genuine character
- Want creature minis that carry a sense of pathos alongside their threat
- Collect beastfolk and monstrous humanoid sculpts for display
Encounter Hook:
The party follows a trail of disturbed earth and drag marks deep into the castle's lower crypts. Rounding a corner, they find two mongrelfolk mid-task — one hauling a heavy sack, the other standing guard with a shovel raised. Are they burying something that should stay buried? Or desperately hiding something they hope the party will find?
Both miniatures are scaled to 32mm and suit gaming and display collecting equally well. Each can be ordered with or without a plain black base — the base arrives unattached and can be fixed in place with a small amount of glue. Minis arrive with supports removed and are supplied unpainted, ready for priming and painting.
