The Molydeus is one of the most fearsome demon lords' weapons: a towering, multi-headed abyssal enforcer sent to drag wayward servants back into line — or tear them apart as an example. This sculpt by Monster Atlas captures that primal dread with extraordinary clarity. The primary lion-like head snarls with a full mane, jaws wide and teeth bared. To one side, a second beast head — lower, heavier — glares with cold menace. Above both, a serpent neck rears upright, fanged and coiled, scales rendered in fine detail. The creature braces itself with powerful, clawed feet and wields a massive axe whose blade is wrapped in writhing tentacles, every sucker individually sculpted. Spiked bracers and a skull-adorned loincloth complete the look of a demon that takes trophies.

This is a miniature that commands a table. At 32mm scale it has genuine presence as a boss monster, but the level of detail — particularly in the three distinct heads and the organic texture of the tentacle-blade — makes it equally rewarding as a display piece and a painting project. Every surface offers something to work with: maned fur, reptile scales, studded leather, and that extraordinary weapon.

Details

Supplied at 32mm scale. The model and base are separate pieces, easily attached with superglue — the decorative base is designed to complement the sculpt and the two interact closely, so we recommend displaying and gaming with both together. Each piece is quality checked before dispatch; minor support marks are occasionally possible with complex sculpts of this kind and can be cleaned up with a hobby knife.
