Mistral Timebane is no ordinary construct. Where other golems are built for brute force, Timebane is a figure of baroque authority — a broad, barrel-bodied entity whose entire torso is dominated by an ornate clock face, Roman numerals worn smooth by the passing of centuries. Elaborate scrollwork frames his body, rose motifs bloom from his pauldrons, and a sweeping ceremonial cloak trails behind him, its hem decorated with filigree that suggests the heraldry of a long-forgotten noble house. His expression — full curled wig, furrowed brow, and magnificent moustache — is one of absolute, imperious disdain for the living.
He makes a compelling encounter whether deployed as a guardian of forbidden archives, a jurisprudent construct dispensing ancient law, or a time-touched NPC who remembers every slight ever paid to his creator and has had several hundred years to dwell on them. As a display piece, the depth of detail across every surface — the layered drapery, the clockwork chest, the sculpted hair — makes him a rewarding painting project for experienced brush-workers and a head-turning shelf centrepiece for collectors.
A good match for adventurers who:
- Need a unique Construct boss or recurring NPC with genuine visual presence
- Are running a gothic, baroque, or arcane-academia-flavoured campaign
- Want a miniature that doubles as a display piece worthy of a dedicated shelf
- Enjoy painting miniatures with complex surface detail and layered textures
Encounter Hook:
The party enters the sealed vault beneath the crumbled Magisters' Hall and finds Timebane standing motionless at the centre — until one of them touches the lectern. The clock on his chest begins to tick. In a voice like the grinding of gears, he announces that judgement has been suspended for 400 years pending qualified claimants, and that he will now determine whether the party meets the criteria. They have three minutes.
Mistral Timebane is printed at 32mm scale (note: the original sculpt is designed at 35mm — if you'd prefer strict 32mm scaling, just send us a message and we'll sort it). The decorative base comes separately and attaches easily with a small amount of glue — if you select that option, drop us a note with your preferred base style from the three available. Miniatures are supplied unpainted and ready for priming.
