This is a minotaur who has moved beyond brute savagery into something far more dangerous: authority. The Minotaur Captain stands in a commanding wide-legged stance, twin curved horns sweeping back from a broad bovine head framed by a thick beard. He carries a heavy, ornately decorated crossbow-style weapon mounted at the chest — its surface layered with geometric engravings — and in one hand grips a short blade at his side. A full flowing cloak billows dramatically behind him, sculpted with the kind of movement that makes a model look alive even at rest. Armoured boots with studded detailing anchor him to the ground. Every element of the sculpt speaks to rank and menace in equal measure.
This is a large-scale miniature on a 51mm base, and the presence on the tabletop matches that footprint. Whether you're placing him at the heart of a minotaur warband, statting him as a named commander in your homebrew labyrinth, or converting him into a powerful Barbarian or Fighter for a player character, the sculpt carries the weight of that role. The ornamental weapon and cloak make him just as compelling on a display shelf as he is in the middle of an encounter.
The two renders in this listing show the same sculpt from the front and from behind — the rear view in particular reveals the full drama of that sweeping cloak and the impressive silhouette those great horns create from any angle.
- Adventurers building a minotaur faction or labyrinth encounter
- Dungeon Masters who want a named captain or warlord rather than a generic brute
- Players running a large-race Fighter, Barbarian, or Paladin character
- Painters drawn to dynamic cloakwork, intricate armour detail, and expressive faces
- Collectors who want a commanding centrepiece on the display shelf
Encounter Hook: The party has been tracking a series of raids on merchant caravans along the Thornwall Road. At the mouth of a cliff-carved passage, they find a carved bull's-head marker — and beyond it, the Minotaur Captain waits, flanked by two guards, a ledger of stolen goods in hand and absolutely no intention of negotiating.
