Minerva's bust is dominated by a sweeping crest of layered, blade-like feathers that rise dramatically above an ornate, mask-like face — hollow-eyed, angular, and utterly unreadable. Whether she is deity, champion, or something older and stranger, the sculpt makes no apologies for her authority. Every overlapping feather-plate is sharply defined, each one casting its own shadow, while the lower face reveals fine engraved linework and the faintest suggestion of what lies behind the mask. She sits mounted on a solid plinth base, commanding the space around her.
