This is the fourth sculpt in Novaminis' Mind Flayer range, and it carries a distinctly ceremonial menace that sets it apart from more combat-ready variants. Where other Mind Flayer poses lean into violence, this one radiates cold authority — arms thrown wide, tentacles hanging loose, the posture of a creature that has never once needed to hurry. It knows it has already won.

The detail throughout is exceptional. A heavy robe falls to the floor in layered folds, its surface carved with intricate glyphs and relief work that rewards close painting. A skull-buckled belt breaks the silhouette at the waist, with a chain hanging at one hip — a keepsake from something that no longer exists. Spiked pauldrons frame the neck, and the head itself is exactly what you'd want from an illithid: blank eyes, four thick tentacles, a crown of bony protrusions. Every surface gives a painter something to work with.
