This haunting sculpt captures the tragedy of a mind-enslaved thrall in a single, visceral pose. The figure kneels with its weight low to the ground, legs folded beneath it, arms partially raised as though caught between submission and desperate struggle. Heavy chains loop around the wrists and torso, and rope bindings are wound tight about the lower legs — every detail reinforcing the sense of captivity and absolute domination. The face is broad and monstrous, pulled into a tormented grimace, head thrown back with wide, empty anguish. Sparse wrappings of cloth cling to the torso, doing little to suggest anything beyond a creature stripped of its former self.
