The Mimic Wardrobe is one of those miniatures that earns a reaction the moment it hits the table. From the front, it's a beautifully detailed piece of dungeon furniture — an ornately carved double-doored wardrobe with wood-grain panelling and delicate scrollwork along the cornice. Turn it around, or swing open the doors, and the illusion shatters completely: a gaping maw of jagged, overlapping teeth, a lolling tongue, and the bulging eyes of a creature that has been waiting very patiently for someone to reach for a coat.
The sculpt comes in two pieces — the closed, innocent-looking exterior, and the fully revealed attacking pose with the front face split open and the creature's horrifying interior on full display. Both states are captured in extraordinary detail, making this equally at home as a table prop during play or a conversation-starting piece on a display shelf. The texture work on the creature's inner flesh contrasts brilliantly against the clean woodwork of its disguise, and the oversized fang curling from the lower jaw gives it a delightfully theatrical menace.

Encounter Hook:
The party's rogue clocks the wardrobe in the corner of the merchant prince's private chamber and immediately moves to loot it — only to hear the Dungeon Master ask for an Investigation check as the double doors swing inward with a very slow, very deliberate creak, and something wet glistens in the torchlight.
Scaled to 32mm and supplied ready for priming and painting, or use straight from the box if you prefer. Available with or without a plain black base — the base ships unattached and can be fixed in place with a small amount of glue. As with all hand-finished resin work, minor support marks may occasionally be present and are easily tidied up.
