The Mimic Round Table is one of the most delightfully cruel tricks a Dungeon Master can place on a dungeon map. Disguised as a perfectly mundane piece of furniture, this shapeshifter sculpt captures the precise moment the illusion drops — jaws wide open, rows of jagged teeth exposed, a thick tongue lolling forward, and those telltale wooden legs now clearly revealed as fleshy, creature-like appendages. The round tabletop remains convincingly intact on one side, making the before-and-after comparison genuinely unsettling. The textured hide beneath the wood-grain disguise is rich with detail: pebbled skin, subtle colouration shifts, and a cavernous maw packed with teeth at every angle.
This is the first pose in the Mimic Round Table range from Novaminis — shown here mid-reveal, with the maw fully open and the creature rearing back. It works equally well as active encounter terrain during a fight, a scatter piece in a furnished dungeon room to keep players permanently on edge, or as a display piece that will raise an eyebrow from anyone who spots it on your shelf.

Details
Supplied at 32mm scale. Available with or without a plain black display base — the base ships unattached and can be fixed in place with a small amount of glue. This miniature arrives ready to prime and paint, or drop straight onto your table unpainted. As with all hand-finished resin pieces, minor marks from support removal may occasionally be present; these are easily tidied up before painting.
