Mimics are among the most delightfully cruel tricks a Dungeon Master can deploy, and this cabinet variant from Novaminis leans fully into that chaos. The sculpt presents as an ornate two-part bookcase: open shelving above, carved double-doored cupboard below — the kind of furniture you'd find in a merchant's study or a wizard's antechamber. Look closely at the lower section and you'll see the creature mid-reveal, its monstrous maw and warted, fleshy head bursting through the carved woodgrain panelling. The detail on both the furniture disguise and the creature's exposed form is exceptional — wood grain, decorative scroll-work, teeth, and hide all rendered with the precision you'd expect from Novaminis.

This is the first variation in the Mimic Cabinet range, and it works brilliantly as a standalone scatter piece or as the centrepiece of a trap encounter. Details

Printed at 32mm scale. Available with or without a plain black base — the base ships unattached and can be fixed in place with a small amount of glue. Ready for priming and painting straight out of the box. As with all hand-checked resin pieces, minor support marks may occasionally be present and are easily tidied up.
