Mimics are the dungeon-delver's oldest paranoia made flesh, and this bookshelf variant is one of the most fiendishly clever disguises in the monster's repertoire. Sculpted by Novaminis, the Mimic Bookshelf 01 captures the creature mid-reveal: the wooden shelves splitting apart to expose a maw full of jagged teeth, a lashing tongue, and scaly claws scattering tomes across the floor. The craftsmanship across the wood-grain texture of the shelving, the scattered books, and the erupting monster beneath is exceptional — every detail rewards a close look and rewards a painter even more.
This is pose 01 of the Mimic Bookshelf range. The piece functions brilliantly as a two-part display — shown open with the creature bursting forth, or closed as an innocent-looking bookcase that gives nothing away until it is far too late. Details
Supplied at 32mm scale. Available with or without a plain black base — the base comes unattached and can be fixed with a small amount of glue. Ready for priming and painting straight out of the box, or use as-is for immediate table presence. Minor support marks may occasionally be visible but are easily cleaned up.
