The Mimic Bench is one of those encounters that shifts the entire mood of a session. The moment your players realise that the harmless-looking furniture in the tavern courtyard, the dungeon antechamber, or the cursed manor garden has rows of jagged teeth and very strong opinions about visitors, paranoia sets in — and it never quite leaves. This sculpt captures that transformation mid-reveal: the bench's wooden planks split apart to expose a maw packed with wicked teeth and a scaled, muscular body bursting free of its disguise. The wood grain detailing on the dormant bench version is equally sharp, giving Dungeon Masters both states of the creature in a single set.

Encounter Hook:
The injured rogue limps to the nearest bench in the dungeon's rest alcove, grateful for somewhere to sit while the party argues over the map. The bench has been waiting here for three weeks. It has been very patient. It is no longer patient.

Scaled to 32mm. Available with or without a plain black display base — the base comes unattached and can be fixed with a small amount of glue. Supplied unpainted and ready for priming; some minor clean-up from the printing process may be needed, though we check every piece before it leaves us.
