The Mimic Backpack is one of the cruellest tricks a dungeon can play. Squatting on the floor of a corridor or propped against a wall in a treasure room, it looks for all the world like a well-worn adventurer's rucksack — leather straps, buckled pouches, the works. Then a tentacle unfurls, a jaw drops open to reveal rows of jagged teeth, and suddenly your Rogue's Perception check feels very relevant.

This sculpt captures that delicious moment of revelation. The backpack form is fully realised — buckled side pouches, stitched leather panels, and a convincing traveller's silhouette — but the wide-open maw dominates the upper half, crammed with irregular fangs and a thick, curling tongue. The skin texture ripples with the mimic's true nature beneath the disguise, and a curling tail peeks out behind. It's compact, characterful, and deeply sinister in the best possible way. The size reference in the render confirms this is a small-sized creature, sitting low and squat — just large enough to swallow a hand.
