Description
It looks like any other chest — banded oak, iron studs, a perfectly ordinary keyhole — but the lid has been open just a little too long, and something wet is glistening between those teeth.

The mimic is one of the most beloved monsters in the dungeon master's toolkit: equal parts threat and dark comedy, capable of turning a moment of greedy excitement into a table-wide moment of panic. This sculpt from Yasashii Kyojin Studio leans into that perfectly. The lid is thrown open, revealing a gaping maw lined with thick, jagged teeth, while a fleshy pseudopod curls around one side of the chest, hinting at the creature's true nature. The woodgrain planking, iron banding, and pyramid-head studs are all rendered with real character — this is a chest you'd genuinely want to open, which is exactly the point.
At 13mm tall, this is a compact scatter-piece that earns a disproportionate amount of table drama. Place it among a pile of mundane dungeon dressing and watch your players argue about who goes first. It works equally well as a painted display piece on a shelf — the form is clean, the silhouette is instantly readable, and there's plenty of surface detail to reward a careful painter.

What's included:
One mimic treasure chest miniature, scaled to 32mm (approximately 13mm tall as shown). Available with or without a plain black base — the base is supplied unattached and can be fixed with a small amount of glue. Supplied unpainted and ready for priming.
