Description

She stands motionless at the edge of the cursed grove, rope-bound skulls cradled in her arms, her expression unreadable — and your players have no idea whether she is a warning, a guardian, or the threat itself.

  • ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
  • ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

Miko the Braided Maiden is one of those rare miniatures that rewrites an encounter the moment it hits the table. Sculpted by Great Grimoire, she is depicted standing atop a gnarled, skull-embedded tree stump, her flowing robes and long braided hair rendered with extraordinary detail. Thick ropes coil around the base and her form, and she holds a bound cluster of severed heads with the calm, ceremonial composure of someone who has done this many times before. Her horned hair ornaments and dangling earrings speak of a ritualistic tradition — something ancient, deliberate, and deeply unsettling.

Whether you cast her as a monastic shrine keeper, a vengeful spirit given flesh, a cult leader of quiet authority, or a morally complex player character with a dark history, Miko commands the table. The sculpt rewards careful painting — the rope texture, the skulls embedded in the base, and the delicate braid work on her back are all exceptional focal points for anyone who loves display-quality work as much as gaming utility.

Suited to adventurers who:

  • Need a memorable, visually striking NPC with genuine narrative weight
  • Are running a campaign with themes of death cults, ancestral spirits, or forbidden monasteries
  • Play Monk characters with an unconventional or morally complex backstory
  • Collect display-quality pieces from independent sculptors
  • Want a centrepiece mini that provokes immediate player reaction

Encounter Hook:
The village elder warned the party about the woman who tends the Gallows Grove — that she has stood there for forty years without ageing, that she knows the name of everyone who enters, and that the heads she carries are those of the last adventurers who asked her too many questions. She turns to face them. She is already smiling.
