The Metalforged Viscount Nobleman is a construct aristocrat built for campaigns where arcane industry and high society collide. He stands in a composed, commanding posture — one gauntleted hand resting on a slender ornate cane, the other drawn to his lapel with an air of restrained authority. His long double-breasted greatcoat falls to the knee, and the sculpted chain detail at his collar and cuffs speaks to the careful craftsmanship of whoever built him. The elongated beak-like mask that covers his face sits beneath a tall top hat, lending him the unsettling quality of something that wears civility as a costume.
The decorative base features exposed gear mechanisms — cogs and mechanical components embedded into the groundwork — which ground him firmly in a world of arcane engineering and clockwork power structures. This is a miniature that rewards careful, deliberate painting: deep shadows in the coat folds, verdigris or tarnished brass effects on the metal components, and a careful decision about just how much warmth (or cold) to give those mechanical eyes.
Whether he serves as a Warforged noble in an Eberron campaign, a construct crime lord in a steampunk city, or a mysterious patron with a hidden agenda, the Viscount brings genuine presence to the table. He works equally well as an NPC antagonist, a player character sculpt, or a centrepiece of a display collection.
- Warforged or construct noble for Eberron or steampunk settings
- A scheming aristocrat NPC with mechanical secrets
- A player character Warforged Rogue, Bard, or Artificer
- A clockwork BBEG who rules from behind a mask of diplomacy
- A display piece where the coat, mask, and gear base reward advanced painting techniques
Encounter Hook: The party is summoned to the Viscount's private parlour in the upper district of a clockwork city. He offers them a commission — retrieve a stolen schematic from a rival guild — but something about the precise way he folds his hands, the faint whirr behind his mask when he speaks, and the fact that no one has ever seen him eat or sleep makes the Rogue nervous. Very nervous.
