Metalforged Baby is one of those sculpts that stops a table cold the moment it hits the mat. Equal parts unsettling and endearing, this tiny construct rolls forward on a tracked chassis beneath a billowing duster coat, topped with an oversized wide-brimmed hat bristling with goggles, chains, and gear fittings. The scenic base is scattered with cylinders and mechanical components, as though the little machine has been busy tinkering — or simply accumulating the detritus of a very long existence. It reads immediately as an artificer's creation gone rogue, a wandering familiar, or something far older than it looks.
Whether you're running a steampunk-inflected campaign, a Ravnica-style city of guilds, or just want an NPC that your players will never quite forget, Metalforged Baby brings a genuinely distinctive presence to the table. It works equally well as a player character construct, a mysterious wandering NPC, or a miniature display piece that earns its own shelf space.
Perfect for adventurers who:
- Play or DM games featuring constructs, warforged, or artificer companions
- Want a character miniature that stands out from the usual fantasy fare
- Are building steampunk, clockpunk, or magitech-themed adventures
- Collect character-rich display miniatures alongside their gaming pieces
Encounter Hook:
The party finds the small machine sitting motionless in the centre of a collapsed workshop, surrounded by the bones of its long-dead creator. When they approach, its goggles flicker to life — and it holds out one tiny mechanical hand, offering a sealed letter addressed to someone who died forty years ago.
Metalforged Baby is scaled to 32mm. The model is available with a detailed scenic base (supplied as a single piece) or a plain base (supplied detached, easily affixed with a small amount of glue). Supplied unprimed and unpainted, ready for your brush or equally at home straight from the box as a display piece. Supports are removed before dispatch; as with all resin printing, minor marks may occasionally be present and are easily tidied up.
