Description

It surfaced without warning — a coiling mass of barnacled scales, thrashing tentacles, and cold fury, spear already raised before the fishermen even screamed.

  • ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
  • ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

This is pose 03 of the Novaminis Merrow Warrior range, and it might be the most ferocious of the lot. Where other variants carry themselves with predatory patience, this one is already mid-lunge — fish tail coiled beneath a muscular torso, one clawed hand raking the air while the other drives a barbed spear forward. The sculpt is extraordinarily detailed: writhing tentacles cascade from the creature's head like living seaweed, the scaled lower body is textured with overlapping plates and hooked dorsal spines, and a trailing rope-bound trophy hangs at its hip. Every angle rewards close inspection, making it equally compelling on the tabletop or a display shelf.

In D&D 5e, merrow are the monstrous kin of merfolk — humanoids corrupted by demonic influence, dwelling in the lightless depths of seas, lakes, and flooded caverns. They are cruel, territorial, and relentless. This sculpt captures all of that menace in a single frozen moment of attack.

Suited to adventurers who:

  • Need a powerful aquatic monster for a coastal or underwater encounter
  • Are running a campaign involving the Elemental Evil, Abyssal cults, or a corrupted harbour town
  • Want a visually distinctive boss or elite enemy to mark a memorable fight
  • Collect and paint fantasy monster miniatures with exceptional sculpt quality

Encounter Hook:
The sea-wall near Saltmere has been breached three nights running — no storm, no siege engine, just something pulling the stones apart from the water side. When the party investigates, they find the first merrow standing knee-deep in the harbour, spear levelled, as though it has been waiting for exactly this moment.
