Merrow by Monster Atlas
Description
From the black depths of a sunken estuary, the merrow rises — armoured, armed, and utterly without mercy.

- ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
- ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
- ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf
This merrow is no lurking ambush predator but a full warrior of the deep, and the sculpt makes that unmistakable. A powerful fish-tailed torso clad in dark scale armour rises above a coiling, finned lower body, the creature's tentacled maw frozen mid-roar. Gold-trimmed bracers and pauldrons speak to rank — this is no common raider but a champion of whatever drowned dominion it serves. A long-hafted spear is gripped ready to thrust, and the dynamic pose gives the impression of something surging upward through dark water directly toward your party.
For Dungeon Masters running coastal campaigns, underwater dungeon arcs, or Ghosts of Saltmarsh-style adventures, this merrow carries genuine menace on the tabletop. For collectors, the detail across the scales, armour plating, and facial tentacles rewards a careful paint job — from deep oceanic blues through corroded bronze and barnacle-weathered plate. Two poses are available in this range; this listing shows both variants so you can choose the one that fits your encounter best.
Well-suited for adventurers who:
- Run coastal, underwater, or aquatic D&D 5e encounters
- Need a visually imposing humanoid sea monster as a lieutenant or boss
- Are working through Ghosts of Saltmarsh or a homebrew ocean campaign
- Enjoy painting highly detailed creature miniatures with layered textures
- Want a distinctive display piece for a nautical or monster-themed shelf
Encounter Hook:
The fishing village has been paying tribute to something in the harbour — barrels of salted meat left at the end of the dock each new moon. Tonight the party is asked to watch. Just after midnight, a broad-shouldered silhouette breaches the surface, snatches the offering, and turns its hollow eyes toward the lantern one of them is holding.
Details
Supplied at 32mm scale. The model and base are separate pieces and attach easily. The decorative base is recommended, as the sculpt is designed to interact with it. Some minor clean-up may be needed after support removal — any small marks are straightforward to address before priming.
