- ✔ Resin printed fresh to order in the UK
- ✔ Supplied unpainted — ideal as a centrepiece painting project
- ✔ Designed for display shelves and painting competitions
Julien is a mercenary who has clearly survived things he'd rather not explain and collected scars — and style — along the way. This bust, from Primal Collectibles' Uncharted Kingdoms: The Mighty Stone collection, captures him mid-confrontation: arm outstretched, the ornate swept-hilt of one sabre raised in a guard, while the second blade extends low and loose at his hip. His expression is all controlled menace — the eye patch, the pointed ears, the beaded ribbon on his hat, the travel-worn double-breasted coat and leather belt — every detail tells a story of a character who has made very deliberate choices and survived every single one of them.
As a bust rather than a full-figure miniature, Julien is sculpted to reward the painter. The fabric textures on his billowing cloak — beautifully realised from front and back — the stitching on his coat, the braided lanyard on his hat, and the crisp crossguards of his sabres all offer exceptional surface detail for washes, highlights, and fine brushwork. He's equally at home as a showpiece on a display shelf or as visual shorthand for the kind of NPC your players will spend the rest of the campaign trying to figure out.
Perfect for adventurers who:
- Love display busts that reward detailed painting and showcase technique
- Want a morally ambiguous NPC — smuggler, sellsword, disgraced privateer — with genuine visual presence
- Are building a fantasy collector's shelf with characterful, narrative-rich pieces
- Need inspiration for a Rogue, Swashbuckler, or roguish Fighter character concept
- Appreciate sculpts where the back of the miniature is as detailed as the front
Encounter Hook: The party has been hired to escort a merchant's shipment through the Ashwater Straits — but three days into the journey, they find Julien already aboard, occupying the captain's cabin without explanation. He says he was hired for protection. The merchant says he wasn't. Julien's sabre is already drawn. His expression hasn't changed since anyone can remember.
