Description

Once a warrior of some forgotten lord, this skeleton still strides the crypt in battered armour, blade raised, chains trailing from its wrists like a memory of captivity it never escaped.

  • ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
  • ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

This is pose 04 of the Melee Skeleton range from Galaad Miniatures — and it brings real character to what is all too often a generic undead foe. The sculpt depicts a skeleton clad in ragged, layered armour, longsword gripped in a two-handed stance that suggests aggression rather than mere lurching menace. Heavy iron chains hang loose around its body and legs, hinting at a backstory ripe for a Dungeon Master to exploit — a former prisoner? A bound guardian? A warrior cursed mid-sentence and left to pace the same corridor for centuries? A sweeping tattered cape billows behind it, adding dynamism to the pose, and the expression — skull locked in that eternal grimace — stares down anything foolish enough to break into its tomb. The stonework base grounds it firmly in a dungeon or crypt setting.

Whether you're fielding this as a standard skeleton warrior, a named undead lieutenant, or the last guardian before your players reach the phylactery room, this sculpt gives the encounter a visual weight that a flat token simply cannot match. Equally striking painted or bare, it holds its own on any display shelf.

A good fit for adventurers who:

  • Run undead-heavy campaigns or Ravenloft-adjacent settings
  • Want a skeleton mini with genuine visual story rather than blank menace
  • Are building necromancer armies or dungeon encounter sets
  • Collect and paint fantasy miniatures for display
  • Need a commanding undead NPC or low-CR boss for a tomb encounter

Encounter Hook:
The party has cornered the necromancer in the vault below the keep — but as they push through the iron door, they find only this: a single skeleton, chained and still, sword levelled directly at them. The necromancer's voice echoes from the walls: "He was my finest general. Let's see if he remembers how to fight."

Details

Supplied at 32mm scale. The model and decorative cobblestone base are separate pieces, best attached with superglue — the sculpt is designed to interact with its base, so we recommend using it together. Arrives unpainted and ready for priming, though it looks characterful straight from the box for gaming use. We check every piece before it leaves us, though minor support marks can occasionally occur and are easily tidied up.
