- ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
- ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
- ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf
The Meenlock is one of D&D's most unsettling fey creatures: a chitinous, insectoid horror born from the corruption of a frightened soul trapped in the Feywild. It hunts through telepathic torment, paralysing its prey with psychic dread before dragging them into the dark to transform them into one of its own. On the tabletop, it is the kind of creature that makes players genuinely uncomfortable — and that is exactly the point.
This sculpt by Monster Atlas captures the creature in three distinct poses, each with a different posture and threat profile. The front-facing pose shows the Meenlock looming wide with both serrated, spine-covered arm-scythes spread in a threat display, its horned carapace and gnashing mouthparts fully visible. The lunging side-on pose extends one enormous barbed foreleg forward in a grasping strike, low to the ground and predatory. The third pose — rearing slightly with claws raised — gives the impression of something that has just spotted its quarry and is deciding how to take it apart. Each miniature is printed at 32mm scale and includes a separate decorative base, which we recommend attaching with superglue as the models interact naturally with the base geometry.
Perfect for adventurers who:
- Want a genuinely unsettling Underdark or Feywild encounter creature
- Run horror-adjacent D&D 5e campaigns with fey corruption themes
- Are building a Monster Manual display collection and need the creepy-crawly entries covered
- Love the challenge of painting chitinous exoskeleton textures and bioluminescent palette choices
Encounter Hook:
The village children have been having the same nightmare for three nights running — a clacking sound in the walls, a pressure behind the eyes, and a door they cannot stop themselves from opening. When the party investigates, they find a cellar full of shed carapace husks and a tunnel that goes down much further than any cellar should.
Each Meenlock miniature is printed at 32mm scale. The model and base are separate pieces — attach with superglue for best results. The bases are sculpted to complement the pose, so we recommend using them rather than swapping. Supports are removed before dispatch; as with all high-detail resin prints, minor surface marks may occasionally occur and can be tidied up before painting. All pieces are fully cured and ready to prime.
