Description

She does not need to strike first — the first note of her pipa is enough to root the unwary to the spot, and by the second verse, they are already stone.

  • ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
  • ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

Lian She is no western gorgon lurking in a sunless ruin. She is a creature of ceremony and celestial menace — robed in flowing hanfu-style silk etched with fine geometric brocade, her serpentine lower body coiled around an ornate carved pillar as she plays her pipa with the composure of someone who has never once been challenged and survived the experience. Her crown of writhing hair fans outward like a war banner, and her expression carries the particular calm of something ancient and entirely untroubled by your presence. Every element of the sculpt — from the layered folds of her billowing robe to the individual scales of the serpent coil and the relief-carved stonework of the plinth — rewards close attention at the painting table as much as it commands it on the battlefield.

From the An Eastern Journey collection by DM Stash, Lian She works equally as a devastating campaign boss, a neutral divine entity the party must negotiate with, or a centrepiece display piece that holds its own on any collector's shelf. Her presence brings genuine cultural depth and visual distinction to eastern-inspired TTRPG settings, and she pairs naturally with Dungeon Masters building pantheons, spirit courts, or serpentine cults.

Well-suited to adventurers who:

  • Run eastern-flavoured D&D or TTRPG campaigns and need a boss creature with genuine presence
  • Want a medusa variant that feels entirely distinct from the classic western archetype
  • Are building a spirit court, divine antagonist, or serpentine faction in their campaign
  • Collect display miniatures where sculpt complexity and character matter

Encounter Hook:
The party has been hired to retrieve a stolen imperial relic from the Temple of Still Waters — but when they arrive, the entire honour guard has been turned to stone mid-prayer, each figure frozen with hands clasped and eyes closed in reverence. At the altar, Lian She continues to play, unhurried, as if she has been expecting them since before they were born.

Details

Supplied at 32mm scale. The decorative serpent-coiled pillar base is included as a separate piece and attaches with superglue — note that the composition is designed around this base, with the coiled serpent body wrapping the plinth as part of the overall sculpt. Some minor clean-up of support marks may be needed but should be straightforward to address before priming.
