Medusa by Mia Kay M3DM
Description
She doesn't need to draw a weapon — every creature that meets her gaze is already hers to keep.
- ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
- ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
- ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
- ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf
This is Mia Kay M3DM's Medusa: a composed, eerily calm figure in a slit gown with living serpents coiling through her hair and around her raised arm. She stands with one hand lifted, fingers spread — not threatening, exactly, but utterly in control. The snakes aren't chaotic decoration; they're attentive, heads raised and alert, as though they share her focus. It's a sculpt that communicates power through stillness rather than action, which makes her all the more unsettling across a gaming table.
For Dungeon Masters, she works brilliantly as a Medusa in the D&D 5e sense — a Monstrosity with a gaze attack and a lair full of petrified regrets — but her silhouette also lends itself to a Gorgon priestess, a cursed noblewoman, or a serpent cult leader. She's equally at home on a display shelf as a collector's piece, where the detail in the snake heads and braided rope trim on her gown genuinely rewards a close look.
Perfect for adventurers who:
- Need a boss-level Medusa encounter with real table presence
- Are running a serpent cult, Underdark noble, or cursed-bloodline storyline
- Want a female villain or NPC with gravitas and distinct visual storytelling
- Enjoy painting characterful single miniatures with strong focal detail
- Collect display-quality fantasy miniatures from independent sculptors
Encounter Hook:
The party finds the entrance to the gallery unguarded — walls lined with exquisitely detailed stone figures, each face locked in an expression somewhere between surprise and recognition. At the far end, a woman in a long gown stands with her back to them, one hand raised as though mid-conversation. The snakes in her hair turn first.
