This is pose 01 of our Medusa range from Novaminis, and she carries herself with the cold confidence of a creature who has never once feared the adventurers sent to destroy her. Draped in flowing robes with a heavy chain necklace at her throat, she holds a broad-bladed short sword at her side — not raised in aggression, but ready, as if she's grown bored of watching would-be heroes turn to granite at her feet. Her crown of serpents writhes in every direction, each snake sculpted with its own distinct posture, some rearing, some coiling, some simply watching. She stands in sandals on a plain base, unhurried, imperial, and deeply unsettling.
For Dungeon Masters, she works equally well as a lair boss lurking at the heart of a petrified forest, a cursed noblewoman ruling a crumbling estate, or an ancient gorgon who has outlived three civilisations and considers your party a mild inconvenience. For collectors and painters, that serpentine crown and the layered drape of her robes offer a wealth of detail to bring to life — scales, fabric folds, and the subtle menace of a dozen tiny serpent faces all reward careful brushwork.
Brilliant for adventurers who:
- Need a centrepiece boss monster for a D&D 5e Medusa encounter
- Are building a Ravenloft, Greek myth-inspired, or ancient ruins campaign arc
- Want a display piece that reads as genuinely threatening on the shelf
- Are looking for a character with serious painting potential across scales and textures
Encounter Hook:
The party follows a trail of shattered statues — a knight mid-draw, a wizard with her hands still raised — into a vaulted hall where a woman in robes stands with her back turned, sword in hand, waiting. "You may look away if you prefer," she says. "Most do. It doesn't help."
Scaled to 32mm and supplied unpainted, ready for priming and painting straight away. Available with or without a plain black base — the base ships unattached and can be secured with a small amount of glue. Individual sculpt details are clean and crisp, though as with all hand-supported prints, minor marks may occasionally be present; these are easy to remove before painting.
