Description

It has no kingdom left to serve, no master left to obey — and yet it marches still, because its final order was never rescinded.

  • ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
  • ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

The Marut is one of the most iconic constructs in tabletop fantasy lore: an unstoppable, armour-clad engine of enforcement, bound by ancient magical compacts and utterly indifferent to mercy. This sculpt from Yasashii Kyojin Studio captures that relentless quality with exceptional presence — a hulking iron giant covered head-to-toe in riveted plating, wickedly spiked pauldrons, and a crown of spines rising to a single central spike. Its clawed, talon-like feet grip the ground with predatory certainty, and those four-fingered grasping hands communicate something between mechanical function and barely-contained menace.

Details

At 72mm tall, this is a genuine large-scale centrepiece miniature — considerably larger than a standard 32mm hero, which makes it a natural fit for the kind of encounter where the table goes quiet when you place it down. The sculpt rewards careful painting, with all that riveted armour offering deep recesses for washes and layered metallics, while the broad flat chest plate is practically begging for a freehand emblem. Equally at home on a display shelf or a gaming table, it carries weight in both contexts.

Perfect for adventurers who:

  • Run planar or extraplanar campaigns where inevitables and constructs enforce cosmic law
  • Need a boss-level construct encounter that commands immediate attention at the table
  • Are building a collection of large-scale painted display pieces
  • Want to use this as a warforged titan, iron golem, or custom mechanical guardian in their homebrew

Encounter Hook:
The party locate the vault beneath the ruined arcane academy — and standing motionless in the antechamber, dormant for two centuries, is the Marut that was built to guard it. It activates the moment the first torch crosses the threshold, and its opening words are a declaration in ancient Modron script: the looters have three minutes to leave. The clock starts now.

Printed at 72mm scale (approximately twice the height of a standard 32mm miniature). Supplied unpainted and ready for priming. Supports are removed before dispatch, though minor marks from the print process may occasionally be present — these are easily cleaned up with a hobby file.
