The Marquis de Vante is a figure of considerable appetites and even more considerable influence. Enthroned in her two-wheeled rickshaw, goblet raised with the casual arrogance of someone who has never once doubted her own importance, she radiates the kind of wealth that doesn't need to shout. Her elaborately pinned hair, layered gown, and jewelled wrist all speak to a life of refined excess — while the bound tiefling harnessed to the front of her carriage speaks to something far darker beneath the polished surface.
This is a two-figure set: the Marquis herself, imperious and sneering in her seat, and her tiefling bearer — muscular, rope-bound at the wrists, straining forward under the weight of his station as much as the carriage. Together they form a tableau of power and subjugation that will stop your players dead in their tracks. Whether she's a crime lord operating behind a veneer of nobility, a corrupt city magistrate, or the villain pulling strings from behind her fan, the Marquis de Vante arrives with an instant story already carved into the sculpt.
Perfect for adventurers who:
- Need a memorable, morally complex antagonist NPC for urban or political campaigns
- Want a scene-setting centrepiece for city encounters, guild intrigues, or court dramas
- Are building a Ravenloft, Waterdeep, or other city-based campaign with vivid characters
- Collect character-driven miniatures with strong narrative presence
Encounter Hook:
The party is hired to intercept a sealed letter before it reaches the Marquis — but when she passes through the market square in her rickshaw, they realise her bearer is someone they recognise: a missing tiefling from a job they took three sessions ago. The letter can wait. Can it?
This set includes two figures: the Marquis in her rickshaw and the tiefling bearer. Scaled to 35mm; if you'd prefer 32mm scaling, send us a message and we'll adjust it for you. A decorative base option is available — if selected, please include a note stating which of the three base styles you'd like. Bases arrive separate and attach easily with a small amount of glue. Supports are removed before dispatch; as with all resin prints, minor surface marks are possible and can be tidied up before priming.
