Description

She stands motionless in the centre of the room, her segmented limbs perfectly still — until someone pulls the wrong string.

  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
  • ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

The Marionette Construct is one of those sculpts that stops a table cold. Part automaton, part uncanny performance piece, she carries a puppet control frame in her articulated arms and wears a bowler hat at a precise, unsettling angle. Her jointed legs and plated torso mark her clearly as a construct — something built rather than born — yet the deliberateness of her pose suggests there is something very much in control behind those blank features. Whether she is a guardian left behind by a long-dead artificer, a theatrical prop given terrible purpose, or an NPC the party has been hired to track down, she brings immediate narrative weight to any table.

This is the casual pose variant from Mia Kay's Marionette Construct range — arms cradling the puppet frame rather than wielding it, lending her a watchful, coiled quality. She works beautifully as a construct NPC, a Warforged reskin, or a wholly unique encounter piece in an Eberron, steampunk, or arcane-industrial setting. Equally at home on a display shelf as she is on a battlemap.

A good fit for adventurers who:

  • Run artificer-heavy campaigns or Eberron-style settings
  • Need an unsettling construct NPC with real presence
  • Want a distinctive Warforged or animated figure for their collection
  • Enjoy painting characterful sculpts with layered mechanical detail
  • Are building a rogue's gallery of strange and memorable encounters

Encounter Hook:
The party is hired to retrieve a stolen performance automaton from a decommissioned theatre — but when they find her waiting alone on the empty stage, puppet frame in hand, she tilts her head and speaks in the voice of the person who hired them.
