The Marionette Construct is no lumbering automaton. Clad in segmented armour plates that follow the contours of a humanoid form, she wears a bowler hat with quiet confidence and levels a mechanical crossbow with the stillness of something that has never once missed its mark. This is the action pose variant — mid-stance, weight shifted, weapon extended — capturing the moment before the bolt flies. The sculpt details are exceptional: articulated knee joints, ornate filigree across the torso, and a textured cobblestone base scattered with fallen leaves that grounds her in a world she may well outlast.
Whether you're placing her as a clockwork guardian in an artificer's vault, a rogue construct operating outside her original directives, or a warforged-adjacent player character with a flair for the theatrical, she brings genuine narrative weight to the table. Equally at home on a display shelf as she is at the centre of a high-stakes encounter.
Perfect for adventurers who:
- Run artificer workshop dungeons, arcane laboratories, or clockwork city campaigns
- Need a construct NPC with personality rather than brute menace
- Play Rogues, Artificers, or Fighters and want a character mini with attitude
- Collect display-quality sculpts that reward a careful paint job
Encounter Hook:
The party tracks a stolen artefact to an abandoned theatre district — and finds the Marionette Construct centre stage, crossbow raised, performing the final act of a contract issued two centuries ago by a patron long dead. She will deliver the artefact as ordered. She does not recognise the difference between then and now.
