Marine Inquisitor (Mary-Belle Curtis) by DM Stash

She's boarded vessels in the dead of night, interrogated smugglers on rain-slicked docks, and never once let the wind knock her off her stride — Mary-Belle Curtis doesn't chase the truth, she drags it out by the collar.

• ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
• ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
• ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
• ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

From DM Stash's Shadow Over Westlook setting, Mary-Belle Curtis is sculpted with the kind of coiled authority that says she's already worked out who's lying before anyone opens their mouth. She stands in a confident, slightly open-chested stance, her long coat billowing dramatically behind her — the sculpted fabric catching wind in mid-flow, with fine quilted texture across the back panel and dramatic curved lapels at the collar. In her left hand she holds a broad-bladed sword angled low and ready; at her right hip, a flintlock pistol is gripped loosely but meaningfully. Her waist is wrapped in layered belts and sashes, and epaulette-detailed shoulder armour reinforces the naval-officer read without tipping fully into uniform.

Her face carries the calm confidence of someone who has made harder choices than this one. Her hair falls loose to her shoulders, and her expression is composed — not cold, but certain. The sculpt rewards painters who enjoy layering contrasts: the quilted coat against soft linen trousers, worn leather boots against polished metal hardware, and a coat that practically demands a dramatic two-tone paint scheme.

She's mounted on a sculpted scenic base depicting worn harbour decking — a raised hatch or grate detail sits beneath her feet, grounding her firmly in a dockside or ship-board environment. The base gives painters an immediate narrative to work with before the first highlight is even applied.

As a miniature, Mary-Belle works brilliantly as a named NPC — a naval investigator, inquisitor, or morally complicated authority figure — or as a player character for adventurers running a Fighter, Rogue, or Ranger with a maritime bent. She's equally compelling as a display piece for painters who want a character with genuine presence on the shelf.

Well suited to adventurers who:

• Run nautical, pirate, or port-city campaigns and need an authoritative named NPC
• Want a female fighter or rogue miniature with a distinct investigator aesthetic
• Love painting flowing fabric and multi-texture sculpts with real detail depth
• Are building out the Shadow Over Westlook setting from DM Stash
• Collect display-worthy character miniatures with strong narrative presence

Encounter Hook: The party arrives in Westlook's harbour district to chase down a lead on a stolen shipment — only to find Mary-Belle Curtis has already arrested their contact. She's not unfriendly, exactly, but she has questions, and she's very good at knowing when someone isn't telling her everything. Is she an obstacle, an unlikely ally, or something far more complicated?
