Description

Where the primal wilderness meets something altogether more dangerous — a creature that walks upright, thinks clearly, and still chooses to hunt.

  • ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
  • ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

The Mantaur occupies that unsettling space between man and beast, and this sculpt captures it with visceral precision. Rendered in a powerful crouching stance — one leg extended, the other coiled beneath a massively muscled torso — this figure radiates controlled aggression. Long hair falls loose across broad shoulders, the face bearing a calm, almost detached expression that somehow makes the clawed, bestial lower limbs all the more unnerving. This is pose 01 of the Mantaur range from Yasashii Kyojin Studio, and it reads as a creature caught in the moment just before it decides whether to speak or to strike.

Whether you use it as an ancient guardian cursed by the gods, a wilderness predator with unsettling intelligence, or the grotesque result of a druid's forbidden experiment, this miniature carries genuine narrative weight. The anatomical detail across the musculature — particularly along the back and legs — rewards careful painting and makes an equally strong impression straight off the shelf as a display piece.

Perfect for adventurers who:

  • Need a distinctive mid-combat beast encounter for their D&D or TTRPG session
  • Are building a wilderness, fey, or cursed-lands themed table
  • Want a striking centrepiece for a display shelf or painting project
  • Are collecting the full Mantaur range across multiple poses

Encounter Hook:
The village elder described a figure that walked the forest edge at dusk — broad-shouldered, long-haired, moving on all fours but rising to watch the road with an unsettlingly human gaze. The party finds its tracks leading not away from the settlement, but in slow, deliberate circles around it.

Scaled to 32mm. Available with or without a plain black base — the base comes unattached and can be fixed in place with a small amount of glue. Each miniature is printed at high resolution; supports are removed before dispatch, though minor marks from the printing process can occasionally occur and are easily cleaned up.
