Manes are the wretched bottom rung of the demonic hierarchy — formed from the souls of the irredeemably wicked, they swarm the killing fields of the Abyss in mindless, shrieking masses. This particular sculpt, the Vaporspawn variant, takes that baseline horror and twists it into something far more singular. Long, whip-like tendrils erupt from the creature's head, shoulders, and limbs like frozen jets of corrupted vapour, giving it the silhouette of something halfway between demon and living miasma. One arm is flung skyward, clawed fingers splayed in an attitude of shrieking aggression, while the body leans into a mid-stride lunge — all raw muscle, suppurating skin, and open-mouthed fury.

As a tabletop miniature, this sculpt carries tremendous presence on the board. The tendril eruptions catch the eye from across the table, making the Vaporspawn immediately distinguishable from conventional manes sculpts. For painters, the textured skin — pocked with boils and stretched tight over muscle — rewards washes and layering techniques, while the flowing tendrils offer a chance to experiment with OSL or ethereal blending. As a display piece, it works equally well as a standalone abyssal horror or as the centrepiece of a diorama.
