Description
At the bottom of every demonic hierarchy, the Manes endure — tortured souls stripped of identity and reshaped into snarling, claw-handed instruments of the Abyss.
- ✔ Multi-miniature bundle — multiple variations in one order
- ✔ 32mm scale resin, printed fresh to order in the UK
- ✔ All pieces supplied unpainted and ready to prime
- ✔ Great value for building out encounter groups or display collections
This is the second sculpt in Novaminis' Manes range, and it brings a distinct posture to the table — hunched forward with both arms raised and splayed, clawed fingers spread wide as though about to seize or rake at whatever unfortunate soul stands before it. The body is covered in bulging pustules and knotted, uneven flesh that speaks to a creature twisted far beyond any original humanoid form. Its bald, blister-ridden skull sits low on heavy shoulders, and that wide-mouthed snarl — asymmetric, malformed, filled with uneven teeth — gives the sculpt a raw, visceral quality that paint will only intensify.
Compared to pose 01 in the range, this variant carries a more aggressive, lunging energy — arms forward and fingers extended rather than at rest. Run them side by side and you have an instantly varied pack of lesser demons without any two feeling like duplicates. The detail in the clawed hands is particularly sharp, making this a rewarding subject for layered washes and highlights.
Whether you are statting up a mob of cannon-fodder demons for an Abyssal incursion or building a grimdark display diorama, this Manes fits the bill. It works equally well as a gaming piece and as a standalone painting project on the shelf.
This bundle includes both the plain-based and no-base variants, giving you full flexibility — use the base for easier painting and storage, or go baseless to fit your own custom scenic basing.
Particularly well-suited for adventurers who:
- Need a reliable pool of lesser demons for Abyssal or demonic encounters
- Want to build varied demon swarms without identical sculpts
- Are working on a painting project centred on the lower ranks of the Abyss
- Enjoy highly textured, organically grotesque sculpts that reward detailed brushwork
Encounter Hook
The ritual circle has been broken — three Manes claw their way up through the scorched flagstones of the abandoned temple, drawn by the residual necrotic energy of a failed summoning. They converge on the nearest warm body with single-minded, snarling hunger, and the party's Warlock is standing exactly in the wrong spot.
