Mama Opossum is a deeply characterful Feywild creature, sculpted with extraordinary detail across three distinct forms: a large upright pose carrying four young on her back whilst wielding a curling acorn-lantern staff, a smaller solitary pose resting the same staff across her shoulder, and a low prowling stance that suggests she is far more aware of her surroundings than she lets on. The fur texture, the scaled tail, the tiny wide-eyed pups — every element of this sculpt rewards close attention, whether on the gaming table or a display shelf.
In fey lore, the opossum is a creature of patience, cunning, and misdirection. Mama Opossum fits naturally into Feywild encounters as a wandering druid, a trickster NPC, a forest guardian with strong opinions about trespassers, or even a Warlock familiar granted to a particularly unconventional patron. She works equally well as a beloved ally, an inscrutable guide, or the quiet threat lurking at the edge of a firelit camp.
Brilliant for adventurers who:
- Are building Feywild or enchanted forest encounters with genuine personality
- Want a memorable NPC that sparks curiosity rather than immediate combat
- Are painting collectors drawn to intricate fur, natural textures, and expressive character sculpts
- Run campaigns where the wilderness itself feels alive and watchful
- Display nature-themed fantasy miniatures alongside their TTRPG collection
Encounter Hook:
The party has been tasked with finding a stolen fey relic, last seen being carried into Briarhollow — but when they arrive, they find only a small opossum sitting in the centre of the path, four young on her back, watching them with unsettling calm. She does not run. She does not speak. She simply waits — and the relic hangs from her staff like it has always been hers.
Details
Supplied at 32mm scale. The base and model are separate pieces, designed to be attached with a small amount of glue — some sculpts interact with their base in ways that are worth noting before assembly. Each piece is finished to a high standard, with supports removed; minor marks from the printing process are possible and can be tidied before painting. Supplied unprimed and unpainted, ready for your brushwork or striking as-is.
