Description

He's sailed under a dozen flags, betrayed half of them, and the other half are still looking for him — and now he's striding onto your table.

  • ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
  • ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

This miniature depicts a broad-shouldered, bare-chested pirate captain mid-stride, his expression set in the kind of weathered calm that comes from decades at sea and a great many close calls. A feathered tricorn sits atop a full, braided beard. Twin cutlasses are drawn and ready — crossed at the hip, speaking of a man who fights with both hands and no hesitation. A flowing coat billows behind him as though caught in a salt-wind, and his boots crunch across a sandy, textured base that roots the whole composition firmly in a coastal world.

Every detail — the braided beard with its leather ties, the layered sash belt, the stitched brim of that magnificent hat — rewards close inspection and makes this sculpt as satisfying to paint as it is to place on the table. Whether you run him as a charismatic privateer the party must negotiate with, a feared pirate lord at the heart of your seafaring campaign, or your own Swashbuckler or Rogue player character, this is a figure that brings a story with him.

Suited for adventurers who:

  • Need a commanding pirate captain NPC, rival, or faction leader
  • Are playing a Rogue, Fighter, or Swashbuckler and want a characterful figure
  • Run coastal, nautical, or port-city campaigns in D&D 5e or other TTRPGs
  • Enjoy collecting and painting characterful miniatures for display

Encounter Hook:
The party has been hired to track down a stolen naval charter — but when they finally corner the thief in a harbourside tavern, they find Captain Varren Blacktide already holding it, flanked by his crew, and in a very generous mood. He wants the same thing they do. Whether that makes him an ally or a trap depends entirely on how tonight's negotiation goes.
