This is the Magic Forest Portal by Mia Kay M3DM, and it earns its place at the centre of the table. Built from stacked, faceted stones and wound with thick twisted rope, the arch is alive with creeping foliage — ivy leaves, scattered flowers, and curling vines clinging to every surface. Two variants are included: a clean open arch that frames the gateway beautifully from any angle, and a second variation where the portal's mouth is strung with a web of ropes meeting at a carved floral medallion — suggesting something recently sealed, or perhaps about to open. Both carry that same sense of ancient, overgrown ceremony that makes a Feywild or forest encounter feel genuinely otherworldly.
Whether your party is crossing into the Feywild, uncovering a druid circle's hidden waypoint, or discovering a sealed fae bargain made long before living memory, this piece gives the moment a tangible weight. It works equally well as a display centrepiece on a shelf, the natural focus of a diorama, or a recurring landmark in a long-running campaign.
Well suited to adventurers who:
- Run Feywild, forest, or nature-themed D&D and TTRPG campaigns
- Want scatter terrain that doubles as a dramatic story beat
- Are building display dioramas or painted fantasy collections
- Need a quest objective or dimensional gateway marker that actually looks the part
Encounter Hook:
The ranger finds the tracks stop abruptly at the base of the stone arch — no continuation on the other side, just crushed wildflowers and the faint smell of petrichor. The rope web across the sealed variant is still vibrating, as if something passed through moments ago. Does the party follow?
Details
This listing includes both portal variants — the open arch and the rope-sealed version. Both are scaled to 32mm. The models are supplied ready for priming and painting, though they carry character straight from the box. Some minor surface marks may occur during the printing process; these are easily tidied up before painting.
