This is the Magic Cart from Great Grimoire: a richly sculpted travelling merchant's wagon that brings an entire scene to the table in one piece. The canopy is draped with ornate patterned fabric, its poles topped with carved beast heads. Lanterns hang at the corners, a curious winged creature perches mid-frame, and the shelves inside are packed with books, potions, bottles, and a crystal ball — every surface telling its own story before a single die is rolled.
The second image shows the cart in its component form, confirming that the shelving unit, the winged familiar figure, and the wagon body are separate pieces — making painting and assembly much more manageable, and giving Dungeon Masters real flexibility in how they stage the scene.
Perfect for adventurers who:
- Want a market or roadside encounter centrepiece with genuine narrative weight
- Are running urban, wilderness, or trade-road sessions and need memorable scatter terrain
- Love painting complex, detail-rich diorama pieces for display as well as play
- Need versatile cover pieces that double as story props during encounters
Encounter Hook:
The cart has been parked on the edge of town for three days. Its owner — a gnome in a wide-brimmed hat — insists he's simply passing through. But the party's wizard noticed that the crystal ball on the second shelf is already attuned to something. When they ask about it, the gnome stops smiling.
This terrain piece is printed at 35mm scale. If you'd prefer a different scale, send us a message and we'll see what we can arrange. The cart arrives as separate components that fit together neatly and can be fixed in place with a spot of glue.
