Description

Something crouches at the tunnel's edge — robes pooled around it, a single vast eye sweeping the dark, bladed fingers splayed and ready.

  • ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
  • ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

The Mad Eye is one of those creatures that stops a session dead the moment it hits the table. Part aberration, part urban legend — it crouches low, robes draped loosely over a body wrapped in riveted segmented armour, and regards the world through a single enormous eye set within a ridged orbital ring. There is nothing warm in that gaze. There is nothing slow either.

Armed with a multi-bladed claw weapon — three wickedly thin blades fanning out from a mechanical gauntlet — the Mad Eye holds its ground with deceptive stillness. The posture is coiled, not passive. Bent knees, one heavy fist braced low, the bladed hand raised and open. It is measuring distances. It is already inside your party's initiative order.

The sculpt rewards painters who enjoy layered, textured work: the eye itself invites a glassy, luminous treatment; the riveted armour panels across the arms and legs give excellent edge-highlighting opportunities; and the flowing robes underneath offer broad cloth areas that take wet-blending beautifully. Whether you paint it as a Underdark stalker, a construct-touched monstrosity, or some unspeakable Aberrant patron made flesh, the Mad Eye earns its place in any collection.

  • Dungeon Masters building unsettling Underdark encounters
  • Adventurers drawn to aberrant or otherworldly monster designs
  • Painters who enjoy intricate armour textures alongside smooth cloth folds
  • Collectors who want a centrepiece creature that provokes genuine unease at the table

Encounter Hook: The party tracks a missing courier into the lower city sewers, following a trail of ransacked belongings — until the trail simply ends. No blood. No body. Just an eerie circular smear on the flagstones, as if something sat there and watched, then left. Three sessions later, one PC realises they have seen the same crouching figure in the shadows at the edge of every major scene. It has always been there. It has always been watching.
