Lyre by Mia Kay M3DM
Description
They say the lyre was placed there centuries ago by a bard who bargained with a god — and that on quiet nights, its strings still hum.

This ornate scatter terrain piece depicts a classical lyre mounted atop a fluted Ionic column, set on a cobblestone round base. The lyre itself is richly detailed — scrolled volutes at the top, leaf-carved arms curling around the strings, and a base of interlocking foliage that speaks of divine craftsmanship rather than mortal hands. Whether it belongs in a ruined temple, a bardic college, a Grecian-inspired city square, or the inner sanctum of a music deity, this piece carries real narrative weight.
For Dungeon Masters, it works equally well as a decorative focal point, a quest MacGuffin, or an interactive object on the battlefield. For collectors and painters, the layered surface detail — column fluting, stone cobbles, carved foliage — offers a genuinely rewarding painting project. This is a piece that earns its place both on the table and on the display shelf.
Perfect for adventurers who:
- Run bard-centred campaigns or temples dedicated to gods of music and art
- Want atmospheric scatter terrain for Grecian, classical, or ancient city encounters
- Are building diorama scenes or bardic college settings
- Love detailed terrain pieces that double as display collectables
Encounter Hook:
The party enters the ransacked Temple of Milil to find every sacred object smashed — every object except the lyre, which stands untouched at the centre of the room, strings vibrating faintly in still air. Whoever plucked them last has not left the building.
Scaled to 32mm. The model comes attached to its detailed cobblestone round base as a single piece, ready for priming and painting. Some minor imperfections from the printing process are possible; any remnant marks are easily tidied up before painting. Fully cured and ready to go.
